The Melt Mail iPhone application is now available for free in the AppStore. Get it now!
We have changed some things on the page and introduced a Chinese translation of the page. We hope that the translation is not too bad. So if you are a native Chinese speaker, we would be glad, if you could give us tips.
And finally, we have added a Favicon to the page.
We proudly present the iPhone/iPod touch version of Melt Mail. Visit the App Store to download it.
A nifty integration makes it easy to create new Melt Mail addresses. They are copied in the paste-board and you can paste them in e.g. the Browser etc.
As you can see on the right hand side, we have now a own Facebook page. Become a fan to support us.
Better late than never — i finally have created a Twitter account for meltmail. A nice place for news about meltmail and for fans to follow us.
We had a little downtime today, because of maintenance issues on the server. Sorry for this.
Hi there, i have included an IP-blacklist since yesterday. It was necessary because there has been a lot of misuse of the service. People created lots and lots of meltmail addresses in an automated way. And because i don’t want to include a Captcha into the system (because this would look ugly and cost time when creating a meltmail address) i included this blacklist.
So if anyone gets a special message while creating a meltmail and thinks that this is a mistake, please feel free to contact me.
…whow, meltmail.com has been mentioned on lifehacker.com. Thanks for that, too.
We’ve covered boat loads of similar disposable email applications, so Melt Mail isn’t breaking any new ground, but since some services won’t allow you to register with popular temporary email addresses, it’s worthwhile to have another option in your arsenal. Besides, the dead-simple interface is a nice touch.
Uh, hopefully these ‘some services‘ won’t update their blocking list too soon.
Uh, just saw that Melt Mail was mentioned in a posting on killerstartups.com. Thanks for that.
This a solution that caters for a very specific concern, namely avoiding the deluge of junk-mail that often ensues when one registers at certain sites.
TIP OF THE DAY: you can open your new Melt Mail in a separate window, so you can save space and have always access to your Melt Mail address
Found a nice article about “disposable e-mail addresses” in the wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disposable_email_address
